Rooted ‘N Love is a small herbal apothecary shop nestled in the North Georgia Mountains. The shop is in White County, and my daughters and I call Cleveland, Helen, and the Sautee Nacoochee Valley our home. We are blessed to be surrounded by national forest land and some of the most biodiverse plant life in the country, as well as a small town community that supports and loves us well.
My name is Misha Jordan. I am the owner and herbalist of Rooted ‘N Love. I have been a student of herbalism since about 2003, but I believe in being a life long student, with my journey in herbal education having no end.
The herbs I use in my products are all ethically harvested and either organic or sustainably wildcrafted, with as many as possible being grown or foraged here on the land I tend with my girls. The product line includes medicinal tea blends, herbal salves, tinctures, infused oils, herbal steam bags, custom tea blends, complex and simple tinctures, and more.
For me the journey into herbalism began when I had become more than frustrated with hormonal issues, ovarian cysts, and endometriosis for years with no answers from the doctors I was seeing. I began learning then about how to support my own body through herbal remedies. The journey to a more natural life happens with baby steps for most of us and I had no idea then that my path would lead me here. Natural healing, clean eating, and healthy living really became my main focus when my oldest daughter was struggling with constant medical issues. When doctors failed and western medicine had no answers I really dove deep into natural healing and herbal medicine. In my studies I was able to work with herbal remedies, diet changes, and more to reclaim my precious daughter’s health. There is a place for both modern medicine and herbal medicine in life, but I believe that for the wellness of the entire being the first place we should look is in what nature provides.
We all have the ability to heal our own bodies working with our plant allies, and through our connections with the natural world.
I believe we are surrounded by all that we need to maintain health in our bodies, peace in our minds, and joy in our hearts, if we will only stop and listen to the songs of earth.
I felt called to healing as a young child, considered a nursing profession multiple times, and after years of learning how to treat my children and myself at home, I ultimately accepted my passion and calling as a healer, and an old fashioned medicine woman, .
Rooted ‘n Love was born from that calling. It began with social media and word of mouth clients asking for help with anxiety, pain, inflammation, hormones, stomach complaints and more, and now has grown to include this online store, a small shop where I meet with clients by appointment for one and one and small group consultations, and multiple places carrying my products, including a local spa and our local chiropractors office.
My desire is to be of help to each individual I come in contact with, to provide excellent and personalized service to every being I interact with, and to make and share the highest quality products infused with as much love as they are roots.
